Non Academic Faculties
The Research Institute for Standards in Islam ( RISIS ) is a global institution for non-academic education.The first known use of non-academic was in 1873, in the meaning defined as ˌnɑːn ækəˈdemɪk/ [usually before noun] (of school subjects, etc.) involving technical or practical skills rather than a lot of reading and studying and committing to memory work to pass exams.
What is the Difference Between Academic Education and Non Academic Education?
Academic education is a formal and impersonal style of learning that is intended for a scholarly or academic certification while non academic education is an informal life experience based education and often a subjective style of leaning that can be evaluated and certified qualitatively and quantitatively against performance and results.
However, the purpose of academic education is to pass exams , mostly based on memory work. This is a major difference between academic and non academic education.RISIS’s international activities in pursuit of its mission to contribute to society through excellence of Islamic value based peace education, learning and research.Confederation of Faculties.
Study life for our non academic program is comfortable but intellectually demanding and we place great emphasis on mentor guided independent studies, and recognition of prior learning supported by self-directed learning.The RISIS is a confederation of Faculties, Centers of Excellence and Departments. Each is governed by their own statutes and regulations, but are integral composition of the Institute.
