RISIS WORLD PEACE AMBASSADOR DIPLOMATIC COMMISSION
The Research Institute for Standards in Islam would confer RISIS WORLD PEACE AMBASSADOR recognition to individuals and organizations that had promoted projects and supported the role of people in peace-building activities that contribute to living together in peace, harmony with dignity and through dialogue. Any projects that engage active individuals and protagonists of social change in conflict-affected communities would also be recognised

Diplomatic Commission would be the most diverse network of peace leaders. The receipient and laureate would be selected by a Special Selection Committee that emulated the United Nations selection of UN Messenger of Peace as elucidated herein.
How are the UN Messengers of Peace selected?
Due care is exercised when selecting high profile individuals to serve as a Messenger of Peace or Goodwill Ambassador, and established selection criteria ensure that persons of integrity, who demonstrate the commitment and ability to reach a global audience, are designated. Ultimately, it is the decision of the United Nations Secretary-General to appoint a Messenger of Peace when appropriate.
How do Messengers of Peace contribute to the work of the United Nations?
United Nations Messengers of Peace are distinguished individuals, carefully selected from the fields of art, literature, science, entertainment, sports and other fields of public life, who have agreed to help focus worldwide attention on the work of the United Nations. Backed by the highest honour bestowed by the UN Secretary-General on a global citizen for an initial period of two years, these prominent personalities volunteer their time, talent and passion to raise awareness of United Nations’ efforts to improve the lives of billions of people everywhere. The Messengers of Peace, through their public appearances, contacts with the international media and humanitarian work, help expand understanding of how the ideals and objectives of the Organization demand everyone’s attention. Since the programme’s inception nearly a decade ago, over a dozen individuals have gracefully lent their names, reputations and energy to motivate people to press for a more peaceful world.
How are the RISIS WORLD PEACE AMBASSADORS selected?
A person of integrity with the ability to design,develop and deliver Peace Bridges Innovation Projects, built to create a global culture of peace that supports the SDGs of the UN as well as the principles of the UN Global Compact; would be recognised and honoured. Organizations that envisions a foundational framework for sustainable, positive peace through an ecosystem that supports the SDGs of the UN and the principles of UN Global Compact, dedicated for sustainable peacebuilding would also be honoured with the award. The number of RISIS WORLD PEACE AMBASSADOR would be limited and issued annually. Each appointment would have a 1000 days validity.
